How to Apply for a Grant

The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Southwest Michigan Affiliate funded six local area programs with a total of $102,500 for 2005. The community's participation in the 2005 SW Michigan Komen Race for the Cure® is responsible for more than half of the grant money. Funding was received also from BMW Ultimate Drive, Lee National Denim Day, Dance for the Cure and many donations.
Deadline for completion of applications is 5:00 p.m. on December 30, 2006. Announcements of funding will be made by February 28, 2007.

Please note the following:

Applicant organizations must be located and/or providing breast healthcare or awareness services within the SW Michigan Affiliates eight county service area: Allegan, Berrien, Branch, Calhoun, Cass, Kalamazoo, St. Joseph and Van Buren counties.
Applicants must provide evidence of official non-profit status.
Applications may be made to support either new or established programs
Applicants must provide one original of the grant application to the SW Michigan Affiliate, P.O. 2031, Kalamazoo MI 49003.
