YOUR TEAM, YOUR IMPACT

Participating in the Susan G. Komen Southwest Michigan Affiliate Race for the Cure® with a team multiplies the fun, the laughter and maybe even the tears that you share on Race Day. Rally around someone you know who was just diagnosed, someone who has fought the battle, or someone who may have lost the battle. Together, with your friends, family and co-workers, you make an even greater impact than you could alone.

In order to start a team, Team Captain's  must register first and create the team before other team members can join the team. A team is comprised of 5 or more individuals. Teammates can be friends, family members, co-workers, or anyone else who would like to join.

Set Up Your Team Online!
You will need to register your team online so that you can recruit team members, collect pledge/donations, track your team’s progress and communicate with your team. Team members will not be able to join your team until you have set the team up online.

Teams Compete for Team Awards

Top Team Award Categories

• Highest donation total from an organization with:
  
  • More than 500 employees
  • 200-499 employees
  • Less than 200 employees
• Highest donation total from a High School team
• Highest donation total from a Friends and Family generated team
• Highest donation total from a new team
• Team with highest percentage increase in donations

Overall Winner: The team with the most donations overall receives a “Team of the Year” plaque engraved with the Team name to proudly display at home or in the office.  The team will also have their name engraved on the Perpetual Plaque.

Rewards: Winning Team Captains will receive a logo gift, a certificate for a pair of New Balance shoes, and a $25 Gift Certificate.

Team Benefits: Teams that raise at least $500 will receive a team sign and team captain gift. All teams are elligible to have their team's picture taken regardless of how much money they have raised.

Deadlines to be Eligible for Team Awards
Mail-in registrations and donations must be postmarked by Monday, May 6, 2013   
Online registrations and donations must be completed before 10:00 pm on Thursday, May 16, 2013
