What is High School Team Challenge?
The High School Team Challenge encourages high schools in our 8 county Affiliate service area to join the fight against breast cancer by fundraising at their school and forming a School Team to participate in the Race for the Cure®.
Win Cash Award Prizes for you school!
$1,000 Prize Award for the high school team that raises the most money
$500 Prize Award to the high school team that has the most student participants based on the percentage of school enrollment.
Winning teams will also receive an award trophy.
How does it Work?
High schools form their own team to compete with other high school’s teams throughout Southwest Michigan. Each school will need a Student Team Leader and a Faculty Advisor Co-Team Leader who are interested and willing to organize a team. Anyone from your high school, students and staff can join your team. Students receive discounted entry fees of $15.00 for untimed and $20 for timed. Prizes will be awarded to the high school team that raises the most money and to the school that has the most student participants (based on a percentage of school enrollment).
How do schools Fundraise?
There are many ways for shcools to fundraise. Check out the High School Team Challenge Tool-kit for ideas and suggestions. Individual
schools may decide to run this program in any way they feel will
generate the greatest response. Many schools across the country run it
as a general school fundraiser or have it as a program that the student
council or another school group coordinates. It is up to you to tailor
the High School Team Challenge to suit your school’s needs.
