Registration
and Packet Pickup Information
There are many ways to participate in the Komen Southwest
Michigan Race for the Cure. You can compete in a timed 5K
race, you can run (non-competitive) or walk our 5K or 1 mile
Family Walk or you can choose to register as a Supporter and receive a Race t-shirt. We are also offering a special registration category: In the Pink. In the Pink registrants will receive a Special Gift, Reserved Parking Pass, and Pre-race lunch at the Promise Café.
5K Run /Walk: Participants will receive the 14th Annual
Race package, which includes a T-Shirt and race bib. Breast
cancer survivors will also receive a pink T-Shirt and cap
as part of their entry package. Survivors are invited to
visit the Survivor Tent on Race day and participate in the
Survivor Celebration of Hope Tribute preceding the race. Register here for the

1 Mile Fun Run/Walk: The 1 mile fun run/walk is a great
event for families or individuals that want to participate
but the 5K may be a bit too challenging. Participants will
receive the 14th Annual Race package, which includes a T-Shirt

Supporter: For people who aren’t able to participate in the race - volunteers, cheerleaders, people who live too far away, but may want to fundraise, registering as a supporter and setting up your online fundraising page is the way to go. Registered Supporters receive the 14th Annual Race package which includes a Race for the Cure t-shirt .Register as a Supporter here for the 2010 Race!
ONLINE REGISTRATIONS
Online registration is now open for the 2010 Race! Receive
a $5.00 discount on adult registration when you register
online by May 1st. You may register yourself, start a team
or join a team . We encourage you to start your own personal
fundraising program using our online registration system.

Registration online closes May 13, 2010 at midnight After that date participants will need to register at the May 15 packet pick-up 10:00 am–4:00 p.m. at Gazelle Sports or on Race Day before 1:30 p.m..
PAPER REGISTRATIONS
Printed registration forms and donation envelopes will
be available after March 1st at the following locations:

- Gazelle Sports
- BCHS Cancer Center in Battle Creek,
- West Michigan Cancer Center in Kalamazoo,
- All Southwest Michigan mammography facilities
- Coldwater Creek in Portage

* Please note that if you want to qualify for Team awards,
all mail-in registration forms must be postmarked by May
1, 2010
Late registration is available at Packet Pick-ups, May 10, May 11,
May 12, May 13, May 14 and on Race Day. Please note: Timed
Runners Packet pickups only at Gazelle Sports on May 15 and
before 1:30p.m. on Race Day.

If you would like your packet mailed to you , you must register
prior to May 1st. And you must provide a street address – we
cannot ship to a post office box You must mark the “mail
packet” box on the registration form and include the
extra $6.00 payment.

PACKET PICKUP
Now that you’ve registered for the Race, unless you
paid to have your packet mailed to you, you will need to
pickup your t-shirt, bib number and event program.
Packet pickup is held during the week immediately preceding
the Race and is your opportunity to pickup everything you
will need for the Race. Picking up your packet early will
help avoid delays on Race Day.
For those individuals who have not yet registered, you can
register, pay and pick up your items at the same time. You
can turn in your pledges and donations; Cash, checks, VISA
and, Mastercard will be accepted.

- Wednesday, May 12th 5-8 p.m. Panera Bread, 2810 Capital Avenue SW, Battle Creek, MI (Capital Ave SW, I-94 south of exit 97)
- Thursday, May 13th 5-8 p.m. Sturgis Hospital Medical Commons Building Lobby, 1717 E. Chicago Rd, Sturgis, MI (Urgent Care Center Building)
- Friday, May 14th 1-3 p.m. Komen Office, 229 E. Michigan Suite 245A, Kalamazoo, MI
- Saturday May 15th 10-4 p.m. Gazelle Sports, 214 South Kalamazoo Mall, Kalamazoo, MI (Timed Runners must come to this packet pickup or pick up shirt/bib/chip after noon and before 1:30 p.m. on Race Day.)
Please note Timed Runners Packet Pickup only at Gazelle Sports on May 15 and before 1:30 p.m. on Race Day May 16th. Timed Runner registrations will absolutely be cut off at 1:30 p.m. on Race Day. No timing chips will be available after 1:30 p.m.
TURNING IN PLEDGES/DONATIONS
You are welcome to bring in the pledges/donations you have
collected to packet pickup. If you are interested in competing
for one of the many pledge program prizes, click here to
view pledge program prizes. Your donations must be in an
envelope along with a completed pledge form. Click here to
download a copy of the pledge form.
If you are not interested in competing for prizes, we will
GLADLY accept your donations in any form! Please help us
track your donations and thank your sponsors for their generous
gifts by attaching a filled Fundraising Form to your donations.
If you are having your packet mailed to you, and you have
collected pledges/donations you may bring them the Pledge/Donation
