Education is a key component of the mission of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and its Affiliates in their efforts to eradicate breast cancer as a life threatening disease.

The Komen SW Michigan Affiliate carries out its education mission in a variety of ways:

  • The SW Michigan Komen Race for the CureŽ raises awareness of breast cancer and its devastating impact on all people in SW Michigan.
  • The SW Michigan Affiliate grants process funds programs that offer education to many of the medically underserved populations in SW Michigan.
  • The SW Michigan Affiliate Education Committee participates in health fairs and is available to speak to groups about breast healthcare.
  • The SW Michigan Affiliate offers an extensive collection of education materials on a wide range of issues. Please check materials available (click here).
